Kate Hudson Biography
Kate Garry Hudson is an American actress who was born in Los Angeles, California on April 19, 1979.
She is the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson and sister of actor Oliver
Hudson.
Kate Hudson made her big-screen debut in the film Desert Blue (1998). Her breakthrough
role though was as Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous (2000), for which she was nominated for an
Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Though she lost out to Marcia Gay Harden (Pollock), she
did take home the Golden Globe award that year in the same category.
On New Year's Eve 2001 in Aspen, Colorado, Hudson married her rocker boyfriend, Black Crowes' lead
singer Chris Robinson. It was the first marriage for both. On January 7, 2004, she gave birth to
their son, Ryder Russell Robinson.
In 2000, Kate Hudson was named one of the '50 Most Beautiful People in the World'
by People Magazine.
Kate is left handed.
